Upcoming Community Earth Day Celebration at Skyline High School

Let’s join together in love to care for our Earth at Skyline High School. This event will be held on April 27, 2019, from 9am-2pm. Bring your plastic films for TREX recycling! Also bring your electronics to recycle (small fee applies for certain TVs/monitors – learn more at www.ALCRecycling.net).

Here is the Earth Day schedule:

9am – Front Royal/Warren County Tree Stewards: Arbor Day/Earth Day Tree Planting, Plaque Presentation

9:30am – Tree Stewards Greenway Walk & Community ‘Plogging’ Kickoff

10am – 2pm Participating Groups Include:

  • AMP Public Power Partners: Front Royal Solar Site Display
  • FR/WC Anti-Litter Council – Promotional Items
  • ‘Buy One/Give One’ (Bag/Book) Fundraiser Sales (SHS Environmental Action Project)
  • Warren County Solid Waste Management

  • Raffle to raise money for recycle bins on Town/County Walking Trails
    • Donations from: Mountain Trails, Blue Ridge Shadows GC (4-Free Greens & Cart Fees), Thunwa Thai (2-$25 gift cards), Mountain Mystic (1-$25 gift card), Jalisco (1-$20 gift card), Shaklee Green Cleaning Gift Basket, Action for Cheetahs in Kenya soccer ball

To finish off this eventful day, Skyline High School students will be presenting: “Grease” (The School Version – Suitable for ALL ages) at 7pm.
