Warren County Habitat for Humanity Hosts Annual Yard Sale: Proceeds to Benefit Local Families

Published

on

Warren County Habitat for Humanity (WCHFH) is gearing up for its annual yard sale, which will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 p.m. The event will be held in the rollover parking lot at First Baptist Church, located at 14 W 1st Street, Front Royal, VA. The yard sale is a vital fundraiser for WCHFH, with all proceeds supporting its mission to build affordable homes and provide home repair services and educational resources for local families in need.

This year, WCHFH actively seeks donations of gently used furniture, appliances, clothing, and other household items. Community members are encouraged to drop off donations at the Habitat for Humanity office at 109 Water Street, Front Royal, VA, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after 2 p.m. until September 18th. Donations will also be accepted on the morning of the yard sale, from 7 to 8 a.m., directly at the event site.

Andrea Ross, Executive Director of WCHFH, expressed her gratitude for the community’s support. “Every donation and purchase at our yard sale helps us build homes and hope for families right here in Warren County,” she said. “We love being part of this community and couldn’t fulfill our mission without everyone’s generosity.”

Warren County Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to providing safe, affordable housing for low—to moderate-income families in the local community. Through volunteer labor, financial donations, and partnerships with local organizations, WCHFH empowers families to achieve the dream of homeownership and create a more stable future. Their efforts not only build homes but also foster a sense of community, stability, and long-term positive change.

For those looking to get involved, there are several ways to support the yard sale. Donations of items are always appreciated, and volunteers are welcome to help with setup, sales, and cleanup on the event day. All contributions directly impact, allowing the creation of safe, affordable housing for those in need.

To learn more about donating, volunteering, or participating in the yard sale, community members can email info@warrencountyhabitat.org or call (540) 551-3232. Join WCHFH in making a difference and building a brighter future for families in Warren County.
