Arrest made related to car thefts in Front Royal

FRONT ROYAL – There has been at least one arrest in the rash of thefts occurring from vehicles in the Front Royal area. The Front Royal Police Department released a statement Monday stating that a camera reported stolen from a vehicle in January was found in the home os a Town resident during a probation search.
Joshua Allen Cook, of the 200 block of Virginia Avenue, was arrested on a probation violation and taken to the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail, where he was held without bond.
Once investigators determined the camera was one that was reported stolen from a vehicle, two additional felony charges were lodged against him on March 5th.
According to online court records, Cook has two other felony criminal convictions, one for malicious wounding and one for delivering drugs to a prisioner.
Cook appeared in Warren County Circuit Court Monday morning and is being held without bond until his next court appearance on May 7th.
