A successful bachelorhood comes to a St. Patrick’s Day end (Irish women are very tricky)

FRONT ROYAL – On Saturday, March 17 – also know as St. Patrick’s Day 2018 – Paul Barnhart and Maria Dutton tied the knot after a lengthy courtship (though some may believe Ms. Dutton has made a hasty decision). The Front Royal Moose Lodge hosted the wedding and reception, catering was provided by Front Royal’s Devin Smith, wedding officiant was Justice of the Peace Janice Hart, Helltown’s own Shockers provided the live entertainment, and DJ services were by Mike Bailey (there was a real wedding photographer, Charles Carpenter  on hand  as well, thank goodness).

Ms. Dutton came down the aisle, not to The Wedding March, but appropriately considering the date and its heritage implications, to When Irish Eyes are Smiling. And by the time all was said and done, all eyes – Irish and otherwise – were smiling.

Above, family support; below, the cake cutting – wait, let’s get a closer look at that cake …

Rumor has it the bride and groom were whisked off to phase one of their Honeymoon at Ocracoke Island, with a slightly time-deferred phase two with a little help from the new Mrs. Barnhart’s Passages Travel & Cruises travel agency, rumored to be further west; in fact at a hotel at the edge of the Grand Canyon – where any mistake the bride may have made can be corrected from the balcony – by accident of course ………

You know we’re kidding, Paul – best wishes to you both!!

The Shockers – Let’s Dance; and we find the escape vehicles now bound together as well.
