Watch: American Legion Community Band Delivers Joyful Christmas Concert Benefiting C-CAP

The American Legion Community Band brought holiday cheer to a delighted audience during its Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Boggs Chapel, Randolph-Macon Academy. The event, which showcased a lively and diverse program of festive music, served as a benefit for the local C-CAP organization, supporting vital services for the community.

Under the direction of conductors Ed Richards, Ronald Dye, and Mark Malechek, the band performed an inspiring repertoire, blending classical, modern, and seasonal works. The evening was filled with joyous melodies and the warmth of the holiday spirit, a hallmark of the band’s dedication to the community since its founding in 1986.

The concert capped another successful season for the all-volunteer ensemble, which performs free public concerts throughout the year. Community members and music lovers alike celebrated a night of meaningful giving and exceptional artistry.
