Virginia State Police say ongoing crime suppression efforts led to the recovery of firearms, narcotics, and more than $273,000 in cash during a one-week period across the Commonwealth.

From June 10 through June 16, state police worked with local, state, and federal partners on criminal interdiction efforts tied to drug and violent crime investigations.

According to the Virginia State Police, troopers and task forces recovered five firearms valued at about $2,500. Authorities also seized $273,708 in U.S. currency.

Drug seizures during the week had an estimated denied revenue value of more than $1.24 million. The recovered narcotics included 17.5 pounds of cocaine, 4 ounces of crack cocaine, 34.3 pounds of marijuana, 3.4 pounds of fentanyl, 7.1 pounds of THC consumables, and 2.2 pounds of methamphetamine.

Officials said the figures include seizures by Virginia State Police, state police task forces, federal task forces, and assisted investigations.

Virginia State Police said the weekly operations are part of ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal organizations, reduce violent crime, and improve public safety across Virginia.
