Town Manager resigning

FRONT ROYAL, Va. — The Warren County Board of Supervisor’s meeting took a decidedly interesting turn Tuesday morning when Shenandoah district Supervisor Tom Sayre casually slipped in during his report that he would “miss his long-time friend”, Front Royal Town Manager Steven M. Burke, when Burke leaves his position to pursue another job.

Burke, who has held the position of Town Manager since August, of 2011, would neither confirm nor deny the report, and deferred inquiries to Front Royal Mayor Timothy Darr, who has not been reachable for comment.
