Whitney says the rights to the production–which he classifies as a “fairytale for adults, with musical performances”—only recently became available.  He knew the play would be a perfect venue for his talented students.  Over the course of the evening, 14 actors will portray over 100 parts.

Male lead in the play is Cory Taylor, a Senior, whom Whitney has taught since 7th grade.  The female lead of is played by Junior Katy Breeden, who has been studying under Whitney since she began 8th grade.

“Peter and the Starcatcher” is a play based on the 2004 novel “Peter and the Starcatchers” by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. The play provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling, Tinker Bell and Hook, and serves as a prequel to J. M. Barrie’s “Peter and Wendy”.

The play will be performed May 10-12, at 6:30 P.M. at Warren County High School.  Tickets are available at the door. $8 Adults; $6 Students; Free for ages 5 & under.
