On eve of 2017 General Assembly, Collins announces re-election bid

WINCHESTER — Christopher Collins, delegate for Virginia’s 29th district, which includes the City of Winchester along with Warren County and Frederick County, Tuesday evening announced his campaign for re-election at the Hilton Garden in Winchester.

Collins, 45, a Winchester-based defense attorney, was named Freshman Legislator of the Year by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce following the 2015 campaign in which he defeated incumbent Del. Mark Berg in the Republican primary.

He said it was important to address his constituents before heading to Richmond for the General Assembly session.
