Marshall Gardner supports Angie Moore for Clerk of the Court
I am writing to endorse Angie Moore for Clerk of the Warren County Circuit Court.
I first encountered Angie through my employment with the Virginia Department of Corrections as a Probation and Parole Officer (PPO). From 1999 until I retired in 2014, I routinely worked with the staff of the Warren County Circuit Court. As a Front Royal PPO, I utilized the Clerk’s Office in many ways and often attended courtroom proceedings where I was able to observe and get to know Angie. Aside from the sitting Judge, the representative of the Clerk’s Office was the “face” of the Court, and for a number of years that was Angie. At all times I observed Angie carry out her duties in a professional, courteous, and gracious manner.
Since my retirement, I have maintained a friendship with Angie and her family. And when I broke both of my ankles 18 months ago, it was my friend Angie who was there for my wife and I. Angie prepared and dropped off meals. She volunteered to take me to physical therapy appointments and called me daily just to make sure I was doing okay. No one who knows Angie will be surprised by any of this because it exemplifies the type of person Angie is. She is a caring person who is quick to offer assistance to anyone in need and is someone you can depend on.
I endorse Angie for Clerk not only because she is a friend, but because I believe she is the right person for the job. Her qualifications are many and her job knowledge is unrivaled. Angie is personable, smart, adaptable, and she has great ideas for the smooth and efficient management of the Clerk’s Office. I particularly like the fact that Angie feels strongly that politics have no role in the Clerk’s office. She is simply a homegrown Warren County woman who wants to serve her community in the best way she can by being the next Warren County Circuit Court Clerk. Come November 5th, Angie certainly has my vote.
