Agnes Louise Sibert Lemons (1943 – 2025)

Agnes Louise Sibert Lemons, 82, of Midlothian, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on March 8, 2025. Her devotion to family and her firm belief in God supported her life journey and gave her strength and peace.

Agnes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Pastor Gordon W. Lemons, Sr., on July 21, 1962, and they raised two children.

Agnes was born to the late Randall and Ella Mae Sibert on February 18, 1943, in Front Royal, Virginia. She worked for General Services Corporation in Richmond, Virginia, for over 30 years, moving her way up from bookkeeper to VP of Operations. She loved her work and her work family. As the wife of a pastor, she served God and the community. Together, they spread the word of God with their doors and arms open to everyone.

She is survived by her son Gordon Lemons, Jr., daughter Charlene Downing (Jerry), grandchildren Jacquelyn (Derek), Timothy (Brandi), Amanda (Andrew), and Christopher (Kat), and great-grandchildren Langston, Espen, Maeve, Maci, Murphy, Harley, and Zoey. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings Raymond, Anna Mae, and Edgar.

Visitation will be held at Affinity Funeral Home, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Front Royal, Virginia, at 12:00 pm, Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Bennett’s Chapel, 839 Rivermont Drive, Front Royal, Virginia 22630, followed by interment. The family gratefully accepts your prayers, condolences, and memories.
