Front Royal Police Arrest Man in Series of Indecent Exposure Incidents

Published

on

A Front Royal man is in custody following a series of indecent exposure incidents reported over the course of a week, according to the Front Royal Police Department.

Police say three separate incidents were reported between March 18 and March 24, each involving similar descriptions of a suspect exposing himself in public areas. The reports prompted a coordinated investigation as officers worked to determine whether the cases were connected.

Through witness interviews and surveillance footage, investigators identified the suspect as James Clyde Hall II, 38, of Front Royal.

Hall was arrested and charged with three counts of indecent exposure in violation of Virginia Code § 18.2-387. He was transported to the RSW Regional Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.

Authorities have not released specific locations of the incidents but noted that the similarities in witness descriptions helped link the cases together.

Incidents involving indecent exposure are taken seriously by law enforcement due to their impact on public safety and community well-being. Police say such cases can be particularly concerning when they occur repeatedly or in areas accessible to the public.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials are encouraging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behavior or had a similar encounter to come forward.

Anyone with additional information related to these incidents is asked to contact Officer C.R. Gibson at 540-635-2111 or by email at cgibson@frontroyalva.com.

Police say community cooperation plays an important role in resolving cases like this and in helping ensure residents’ safety.
