Award-winning youth ornithologist coming to Front Royal to lecture
Patrick Newcombe, an award-winning youth ornithologist, scientist and writer is coming to Front Royal to present a program entitled “The Perilous Journeys of Migratory Birds” at Samuels Library (Saturday, April 22 at 1 pm).
Mr. Newcombe has won numerous awards and scholarships from the American Birding Association and the Northern Virginia Bird Club. Mr. Newcombe is also the Editor of the Montgomery Bird Club’s quarterly newsletter and a student at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. This summer, he will be researching manakin birds in Costa Rica. (And to note – Mr. Newcombe is a frequent visitor and birder in Browntown when visiting local family residing in Front Royal.)
