Charles Andrew Orsi (1936 – 2024)

Charles Andrew Orsi, 88, of Front Royal, passed away on December 6, 2024.

Mr. Orsi served in the FBI between 1964 and 1970 as a special agent and later served as the top training official for three different Federal agencies. As Director of the U.S. Customs Service Academy from 1975-1979, he spearheaded training efforts. He received the “National Training Organization of the Year” award from the American Society of Training and Development, awarded to a Federal Agency for the first time. Upon retirement from the Immigration and Naturalization Service, he was awarded the Distinguished Career Service Award.

He played college football and graduated from the University of Arizona with Cum Laude honors. He obtained a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Colorado.

Mr. Orsi is survived by his wife, Jean Orsi of Front Royal, VA, and three sons, Steven in Manassas, VA, Mark in Montville, NJ, and Brian in Herndon, VA. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine Orsi, who resides in Los Angeles, CA.

He was a member of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Daniel Gee officiating. The inurnment will be private later at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Maryland.
