At the January 22nd Meeting of the Warren County Board of Supervisors a public hearing was held concerning the amount of time individuals can speak at the public meetings. (Amendment to Warren County Code Section 56-3 re: Rules for Address to the Board of Supervisors by Nonmembers During Public Presentation Comment Period)

County citizens came out and filled the meeting room and expressed their views. The speakers, 21 to be exact, were not going to just sit there like they were in church.

The Royal Examiner’s camera was their and captured the meeting.

After the meeting we spoke to Supervisor Tony Carter.

Some in the community have called the proposed amendment the ‘Mark Egger amendment’ because the code was first brought to the attention of then-chairman Tony Carter at a meeting on Nov. 20, when Egger addressed the panel for the third time in 2018.

Citizens to Warren County Supervisors: ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!’

Here’s an interesting article on speaking at public meetings.
