Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Michael (1968 – 2025)

Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Michael, 57, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Boggs Chapel, Randolph Macon Academy in Front Royal, with Chaplain Monica Reynolds officiating.  There will be a gathering to follow.

Cindy was born on January 9, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Charles and Sarah Kaufman Michael.  She has been an educator at Randolph Macon Academy for 32 years.  She was the Chairwoman of the school’s STEM Division and previously coached field hockey, swimming, and cheerleading.  She was a graduate of Miami University of Ohio and received her Master’s Degree from the University of Dayton.

Survivors include her sister, Kristin Michael Shafer (Eric); nephew, Dr. Maxwell Shafer, and niece, Marah Shafer, all of Dayton, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Warren County, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
