Elwood “Miller” Mathews, Jr., 76, passed away quietly at home on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, with his wife of 57 years at his side. Miller was born in Page County, Virginia on September 7, 1947. He is survived by his wife, Janis; children Sonja Eackles (Bennie), Erik, and Shannon; and two grandchildren, Sophie and Jaeger Eackles.
Miller loved old westerns, Andy Griffith, and talking on the phone. He was a longtime baptized Jehovah’s Witness and loved his family and his extended spiritual family of Jehovah’s people.
Miller enjoyed life, hated funerals, and requested no funeral or memorial service. His favorite Bible verses were Revelations 21:3, 4. Please read them and think of him.
