A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Sammy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Willis Chapel Cemetery.
Ms. Thompson was born on February 10, 1937, in Huntly, Virginia to the late Douglas Gordon Sr. and Virginia Williams Thompson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas G. Thompson Jr. of Anaheim, California and Lynn M. Thompson of Front Royal. She was a former member of Willis Chapel United Methodist Church and retired from the CIA.
Survivors include her brother, James E. Thompson of Front Royal; two sisters, Doris T. Paoni of Front Royal and Betty T. Zombor of Winchester, Virginia; three nieces and five nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
