Front Royal Federal Credit Union pays it forward with “Royal Treatment” initiative

FRONT ROYAL, VA – How would you improve your community with just $10? That’s the question Front Royal Federal Credit Union seeks to answer through its “Royal Treatment” pay-it-forward initiative running through December 31, 2017.

For the remainder of the year, Front Royal FCU will give any member or non-member that opens a vehicle loan at the credit union $10 to make a difference in his or her community. Loan types eligible for the $10 bonus include new and used auto, boat, motorcycle, and RV.

“Credit unions were founded on the principle of people helping people,” says CEO Kim Darr. “Our Royal Treatment program is another example of why credit unions are so unique; we’re not only helping people succeed financially through lower rates, we’re empowering them to make an impact in the communities where they live and work.”

The credit union also intends to donate $250 to a Warren County charitable cause through a corresponding social media effort. Anyone who receives a $10 Royal Treatment incentive and posts his or her good deed on the Front Royal FCU Facebook page will be entered into a $500 drawing at year-end. The credit union will deposit $250 into the member’s account, and deliver a check in the same amount to the Warren County, Virginia charity of his or her choosing. The organization selected must be a 501(c)(3) and approved by the credit union prior to donating.
