FRONT ROYAL – For the third year, officers and investigators with the Front Royal Police Department have taken time from their busy schedules to visit two local nursing homes to fellowship with the  residents and bring gifts, as well as show their apprection to the staff.  They were joined by several board members of the Front Royal Police Foundation to visit both Royal Haven Nursing Home on West Criser Road and Heritage Hall Nursing Home on Route 55 West.

Officer Robbie Seal presents an Old Spice gift set to a resident as Officer Seth Teachout observes.

The “Operation Blue Christmas” event is made possible through fundraising events held by the foundation througout the year, as well tax-deductible donations to the FRPF, a 501c3 nonprofit and donations of items–such as blankets and socks–from local citizens.  For more information about the Front Royal Police Foundation, click here.

Foundation Chair Patti Baggarly leads the officers down the hall to visit residents.

Officers Orndorff, Seal and King hand out blankets and socks.
