Front Royal’s C & C Frozen Treats aims to bring Thanksgiving to your taste buds

Local ice cream shop promises Thanksgiving Day taste treats to delight you!

Thanksgiving Day is upon us!  Everyone has journeyed over the river and through the woods, up the mountain, down the mountain, around the mountain; some folks have even come to the mouice-cream-cakesntains.

Before the day is done, families and friends will gather, give thanks for their blessings, for the sumptuous spread laid out before them and the feasting shall commence.

Thanksgiving is about traditions, though some of them are more about habit than the actual enjoyment of the ritual–especially if the tradition involves something such as great-aunt Agnes’ special secret recipe fruitcake!

Even if fruitcake is not part of your annual Thanksgiving tradition, there might be time to make a new one.  C & C Frozen Treats at 409 East Main Street in Front Royal have whipped up some new, Thanksgiving-themed ice cream flavors in honor of the holiday!

Standing before the ice cream case, as the vintage jukebox plays in the background, one must choose between:  Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato Casserole, Sweet Corn, Mashed Potatoes, Beets, Pecan Praline, Peach Cobbler, Pumpkin Spice, Cranberries, and the holiday favorite, Eggnog!

If that isn’t enough to awaken most folks from a post-meal coma, the cute, recently-married couple will be decked out in resplendent Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus wear!

The pair was the talk of the town when they opened up their nuptials to the entire community, holding the ceremony at the ice cream shop, and hosting a charming, picture-perfect reception at the Gazebo across the street from their business.

William and Nina Politz Huck head across the street from their wedding ceremony to the reception, held on the town square, near the Gazebo.

Folks wanting some of the best freshly-made ice cream available this side of Mrs. Claus’ North Pole kitchen should consider making C & C Frozen Treats a new Thanksgiving holiday ritual!

Hours of operation for C & C Frozen Treats: Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m.—8 p.m.    Friday & Saturday 10 a.m.—9 p.m.
