George Jules Pouzenc III, 67, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Winchester Medical Center.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.

Mr. Pouzenc was born on May 24, 1958, in Long Branch, New Jersey, to the late Alfred and Lucille Pouzenc.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Pouzenc; sister, Eileen Stokes; and brother-in-law, Roger Stokes.  He retired from the United States Navy as a Chief.  Following retirement, he worked as an Intelligence Analyst for the Department of Defense.  He was a Lifetime member of the Front Royal VFW Post 1860.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Janice N. Pouzenc; two sisters, Louann Pouzenc and Kathy Vanco; and numerous nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
