Habitat for Humanity Hosts Masquerade Ball Fundraiser in Warren County
The Warren County Habitat for Humanity hosts its 2024 Heart to Home Masquerade Ball on Saturday, November 30, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. This festive fundraiser promises an evening of glamour, entertainment, and giving back, with all proceeds supporting the organization’s mission to provide affordable housing and home repairs in the community.
Guests can enjoy a delectable dinner featuring options like sirloin, salmon, or a vegetarian dish, along with Asian meatballs and other tantalizing appetizers. In keeping with the masquerade theme, attendees are encouraged to dress to impress, and masks will be provided at the door for anyone who wants to fully embrace the spirit of the evening.
The ball will feature both a live auction and a silent auction, offering a variety of exciting items and packages. Among the highlights are a signed helmet from college football star Jaden Daniels, a beer-lovers package from Bear Chase Brewery, and a mix of outdoor adventure and pampering packages.
Mary Carnahan and Sonya Wilkins, Habitat’s fundraising committee members, are excited about this event’s potential to bring the community together. “It’s not just about raising money; it’s about creating a sense of excitement and unity,” Carnahan shared.
The event also marks a celebratory year for Warren County Habitat for Humanity. The organization recently broke ground on a new housing development on Osage Street. This two-phase project will add two duplexes and three single-family homes, revitalizing the area and bringing hope to local families.
“We’ve already started work,” Wilkins said. “It’s thrilling to see the community come together to support these projects; this event is another step toward making them a reality.”
Tickets for the Masquerade Ball are $100 per person, and sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information, visit warrencountyhabitat.org.
