Heartfelt Tribute: Front Royal Police and Community Show Unwavering Respect During Funeral Procession

The Front Royal Police Department’s respect and professionalism during  Missy Painter’s funeral this week left me feeling very grateful and impressed.

I was so very touched by their presence. A police officer was seen at every intersection with their hats off and on their heart. It restores my trust in communities that uphold such benevolent and revered values. Not only that, but most of the motorists along the road actually pulled off to show their respect was something you don’t see as a regular occurrence anymore.

There have been other funerals where I was appalled watching motorists cut in the middle of a funeral in route to a cemetery. It is important to remember to be respectful of a funeral procession and demonstrate the Southern kindness by pulling over if you can.

Teach your children this tradition.  Let’s not ever lose that. It means more to a grieving family, then you will ever know.
