On July 23, 2019, Donald Poe was arrested by Virginia State Police from charges brought forth by the Special Grand Jury. While this and other scandals shook the Warren County community, Donald’s son, Jason Poe, is staying committed to his campaign for Warren County Sheriff.

When asked about his involvement or awareness of the recent events surrounding his father’s arrest, he responded “I have no connection or knowledge of the inner workings of Earth Right Energy or Earth Right Solar, and I have no involvement with Warren County EDA.”

Jason also emphasized his support for his father on a personal level, while holding support and trust for the judicial system stating that “Those involved who are found guilty should be held accountable regardless of who they are or their status is within the community.”

With the election date set on November 5th, 2019, it is yet to be seen whether his father’s arrest will affect Jason’s campaign. Regardless, Poe said he has no intention of suspending his campaign for Warren County Sheriff.
