FRONT ROYAL – Though the Front Royal Church of the Nazarene has long participated in international mission works, the Nazarene Missions International (MNI) group at the local church felt strongly about reaching out to help those in need within our own community.
Local NMI president Mary Guizar (who happens to be the mother of Pastor Steven Guizar) said that about

15 ladies in the Front Royal Church of the Nazarene got together to make blankets for the Warren County Department of Social Services to gift to foster children who come into care. On Monday (Nov. 27) the church group presented the blankets to the Warren County Social Services Department.
Mrs. Guizar said that, so far, about 25 blankets had been made and donated to Social Services. Her church will likely gather and make the blankets on a quarterly basis, so that the Social Services Department doesn’t have to store the blankets, but can get them on an as-needed basis.
Warren County Community Liaison Michelle Smeltzer said the foster care program was grateful for the blankets and appreciated the fact that the ladies worked so hard to help bring comfort to a child.
