MAGA Era Reaches Front Royal

For those who attended the meeting, the difference in the crowd between those who supported oversight for tax dollars and those opposed was clear as day.

Almost all of those in favor of tax dollar oversight sported MAGA hats, respectfully greeted the board, and spoke politely and articulately about the facts.

On the other hand, the side opposed to tax dollar oversight demonstrated quite the opposite. They spoke about hatred for Confederate history in our area, called Trump supporters uneducated and belittled them. They denounced this move as a dangerous continuation of the MAGA agenda. They even went as far as to mock “In God We Trust”.

The shocking and stark difference highlighted the vocal nature of this loud minority opposed to oversight over our taxes.

It became readily apparent by the end of the night–these outspoken democrats hate Trump more than they love Warren County. They’ll get in the way of common sense oversight, purely out of malice for everything Trump and MAGA.

Here is the reality check: most of our wonderful community is proud of its history. Most of our community doesn’t mock the intelligence of people in retribution for whom they voted. Most of our community does not mock the fact that we in America do trust God, regardless of religious background. And finally, most of our community DID vote for Trump (68%).

I am extremely thankful that our Board of Supervisors has decided to represent its almost 3/4 MAGA constituents and participate in the common sense MAGA agenda for our hard-earned local taxes.
