Northern Virginia Academy of Ballet opens in Front Royal
Meet Karen Eriksson-Lee. Karen and Anastasia Kubanda recently dropped by our studios to talk about ballet in our community.
Karen has opened the The Northern Virginia Academy of Ballet in Front Royal. She currently is teaching at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 18 W 6th St in Front Royal.
At The Northern Virginia Academy of Ballet they hold the belief that music and movement can change a child, a family, a community, and our world one note and one step at a time. Artistic Director, Karen Eriksson-Lee is a professional ballet instructor with over 30 years experience.
Karen brings to the studio her love of learning and combines that with her ability to teach dancers from beginner to the pre-professional level. The NVAB is a Christian ballet school striving to glorify God in all that we do, while teaching classical ballet technique in a supportive environment.
She has announced their Guest Teacher Summer Series with Alabama Ballet Company Member Anastasia Kubanda. Beginner and Advanced Beginner Ballet Students will take two classes per week learning the fundamentals of Ballet. Intermediate and Advanced Ballet students will take a series of classes in Ballet, Pointe, Stretch, and learn Variations. All Master Series Classes taught by Alabama Ballet Company Member and Front Royal Native, Anastasia Kubanda.
