Rivermont Baptist Church Welcomes New Pastoral Team: A New Chapter Begins with 70th Anniversary Celebration

on

A new pastor is at the Rivermont Baptist Church at 575 Catlett Mountain Road in Front Royal. In a recent Town Talk, our publisher, Mike McCool, sat down with Justin and Hannah Dove to discuss their journey to Front Royal and their plans for the church’s future. Justin Dove, recounting a pivotal moment in his life following a severe accident on August 31, 2020, which led to a traumatic brain injury, shared how his faith and the support of his wife and medical team played a crucial role in his recovery and eventual path to Rivermont Baptist Church. Through a serendipitous conversation about his recovery and faith journey, Dove was introduced to the opportunity at Rivermont, where he now serves alongside his wife, Hannah.

The Doves officially took on their roles on November 5, 2023, and are eagerly looking forward to celebrating the church’s 70th anniversary with a series of events starting April 12th. The celebration promises to be a vibrant occasion, with special music, preaching, and community gatherings, highlighting the church’s longstanding impact on the community and its commitment to spiritual revival.

Justin Dove emphasized the importance of teamwork in their ministry, acknowledging his wife’s invaluable support and contributions. Their story of childhood sweethearts, having met in a private Christian school, adds a personal touch to their shared dedication to faith and community service.

Looking ahead, the Doves have a vision of revival for the church, encapsulating this year’s theme, “Wilt Thou Not Revive Us Again?” from Psalm 85:6. Their plans include soul-winning, visitation, and vacation Bible school, aiming to ignite a passion for faith within the community. The upcoming 70th-anniversary celebration is not just a reflection of the church’s history but a beacon of hope for its future, underpinned by the Doves’ leadership and the collective spirit of the Rivermont Baptist Church community.

As they prepare for the anniversary events and a summer filled with spiritual and community engagement, the Doves are warmly welcomed by the community, ready to embrace their new roles and contribute to the church’s legacy of faith, fellowship, and service.
