Rockland ‘cat lady’ seeks home for one too many!

Mary Powers Ryan lives on a small farm in Rockland and for years has tended stray cats, nurturing and feeding those beggars that daily appeared at her door for food and whatever love they’d permit Mary to provide. She wound up with six regulars she now calls her own… until another showed up!

That’s just one too many for Mary to cope with, particularly because Casey, as she now calls him, is not popular with some of his six-cat brethren. She took him inside to protect him and, in her words, “He has shown how loving and friendly he is. He sleeps on my lap, doesn’t claw, and doesn’t take his eyes off me!”

Casey has been with Mary since the beginning of July, during which time she’s had him vetted and spayed during which time he got his shots. “If I did not have six other cats, I would certainly keep Casey, but he needs his own person to love him 24/7.”

Any takers?
