Search for missing teenager Sarah Rose Genari continues
On Thursday, May 3, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office released an update on the ongoing search for a teenage girl that went missing from the Apple Mountain area of eastern Warren County in late April. Involved law enforcement agencies are still seeking information on the whereabouts of 16-year-old Sarah Rose Genari. Genari had initially been listed as age 17 by law enforcement.
Genari was last seen on Apple Mountain on April 26, around 10 p.m. It was initially reported that Genari “walked off from her residence”. While she may be a runaway there is concern for her physical well being. Anyone with information on Genari, described as 5-foot-7, 106 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair (see photo) is asked to contact Investigator Emily Young at 540-635-7100 or at invyoung@warrencountysheriff.org.
A massive search operation centered on Apple Mountain was launched on Thursday, April 27, not far from the Linden intersection with Interstate-66. Sheriff’s department vehicles from three jurisdictions – Warren, Prince William and Loudoun Counties were identified at a central location. According to the May 3 press release searches were conducted by K-9, ground, air, water and thermal imaging devices. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office release of May 3 states those searches were suspended after five days at nightfall on May 1, 2018.
