The Senseless Attacks to Blow Up the Samuels Library Public/Private Partnership
At the Tuesday Board of Supervisors meeting, the frustration with the lies, deceit, and senseless attacks on Samuels Library boiled over. One speaker called the four untrained supervisors the Catholic Taliban. Who else but suicide bombers would continue this senseless attack on our World-Class library of the year? Only fanatics would destroy a beloved library and not care about the people it harms.
The fanatics are not interested in negotiation – they refuse to talk directly to Samuels Library. It’s not about saving money – the fanatics were willing to sign a contract with a private company for more money. It’s not about quality of service – Samuels Library is World-Class quality and has won multiple awards. It’s not about the will of the county citizens, because people have voted overwhelmingly for pro-library candidates, and every candidate for office says the attacks on the library are wrong. Yet the fanatics continue their senseless attack to blow up the Samuels Library public/private partnership.
