STEPHENS CITY – Frederick County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home near Stephens City Saturday evening, at approximately 6 p.m. for a report that narcotics were possibly being sold from the residence, located at 110 Sussex Circle in Stephens City.
Deputies arriving at the home talked to Erik Ancell, 29, and Marcus Allen, 31, both of that address. Because they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the home, the residence was secured while a search warrant was obtained.
During a subsequent search of the residence, deputies located 4 baggies containing “a significant amount of Methamphetamine, 2 baggies containing over a half pound of marijuana, and a Glock handgun,” according to a Sunday evening press release from Captain Aleck Beeman.
Both men were arrested and transported to the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.
Beeman stated that Ancell was charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of a firearm with narcotics.
Allen was charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
Both suspects were held without bond.
