VIDEO: Board of Architectural Review public hearing on Afton Inn
The Town of Front Royal Board of Architectural Review held a public hearing on Tuesday, August 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall, 2nd Floor Chambers, 102 E. Main Street. The public express their views on the following:
FRCOA455-2017. Pursuant to Town Code 175-88, an application for a Certificate of appropriateness was submitted to demolish a contributing structure within the Town’s Historic District Overlay on property located at 2 E. Main Street. The application and owner of the property is the Industrial Development Authority, operating with the business name of the Economic Development Authority. The property is zoned C-2, Downtown Business
District, and is identified as Tax Map 20A8, Section 4, Parcel 14. The building is commonly
referred to as the Afton Inn.
