Wendy Lee Whitacre-Stout (1966 – 2026)

Wendy Lee Whitacre-Stout, 60, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Winchester Medical Center.

Wendy was born on August 31, 1966, in Warrenton, Virginia, to the late John Caudy Whitacre of Manassas, Virginia, and to Karen Lee Mulcahy Aitken.  She loved the outdoors, especially here in Front Royal, where she fished, hiked, metal detected, and spent numerous hours at the river.  She never wanted to leave the Front Royal area.  Above all, she loved her grandsons.  She was catholic by faith.

She is survived by her mother; her son, Jeremy Michael Whitacre (Justine); two daughters, Heather Armel-Halsey (Mark) and Brooklyn Nicole Stout; two grandsons, Elijah Whitlock and Kamryn Long; granddaughter, Aubry; and numerous extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, to assist with funeral expenses.
