Why Vote for Colonel Joseph Stahl?
Election “day” is upon us as early voting starts Friday, September 19. I feel called to run for the School Board, Happy Creek district, because Warren County children deserve much better.
Our children are behind academically (1-2 years) because of poor curriculum that previous school boards have chosen. We have behavioral issues in the classroom that disrupt learning because every child is forced to learn the same way. Teachers’ authority and respect in the classroom need to be improved. Teachers deserve to be paid more. We must exponentially increase trade school opportunities so that children who want to learn the trades can start while in our schools. Transparency for the sake of our parents is paramount. Security and safety for our children while in school isn’t perfect, but it needs to be.
Over my 30 years in the United States Air Force, I’ve been a team builder for airmen of diverse backgrounds. We were always able to unite and accomplish each and every mission. We always knew how to work together, and our differences made us stronger. This is the same philosophy that will work for Warren County schools if I am elected.
My opponent has promised to “fortify the budget“ to accomplish her goals. Look out, Warren County, for the biggest tax increase you have ever seen if she is elected! “Tax and Spend” will be the new mandate.
Our school board in recent years has not been able to even review the school budget because of the maneuvers of the last superintendent. If elected, I promise fiscal responsibility where our school board will be responsible for every line item in the budget, and each and every tax dollar will be responsibly spent.
We have a clear choice this year for the school board in Happy Creek District: higher taxes and much of the same, or a strong way forward for each and every Warren County student. Please support Colonel Joseph Stahl for school board and see you at the polls!
Col Joseph Stahl
Happy Creek District
Warren County, VA
