Valley Health and Warren County Sheriff’s Office to participate in DEA National Drug Take-Back Day

Published

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Valley Health are teaming up to participate in the upcoming DEA National Drug Take-Back Day. The event will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Valley Health Complex located at 120 N. Commerce Ave. in Front Royal.

Drug Take-Back Day is held twice a year to provide a safe and anonymous way for individuals to dispose of prescription drugs. The event aims to raise awareness about the dangers of prescription drug abuse and promote the safe and responsible disposal of unused or expired medications.

Prescription drug abuse is a growing problem in the U.S. and can be harmful to public health. Flushing medications down the toilet is not a safe method of disposal. Drug Take-Back Day provides a convenient and safe way to dispose of prescription drugs, free of charge and without the need for identification.

“We encourage everyone to participate in the National Drug Take-Back Day to help keep our community safe,” said Lt. Robbie Seal from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. “This event is an excellent opportunity for individuals to safely dispose of unwanted medications and protect against prescription drug abuse.”

For more information, please contact Lt. Robbie Seal at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 540-635-4128.
