Rhoda Mae Lauro (1933 – 2024)

Rhoda Mae Lauro, 91, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on June 1, 2024, at Heritage Hall in Leesburg, Virginia.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Lauro was born on May 19, 1933, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Joseph and Harriett Marcus Oremland.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lauro.  She loved to shop and loved her jewelry, perfume, and cosmetics.  She was a volunteer at Warren Memorial Hospital and a world traveler.  She enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and Young and the Restless.

Survivors include her son, Richard Finkelstein of Northridge, California; three daughters, Barbara Grim of Front Royal; Terri Parks (Greg) of West Hills, California and Natalie Tejeda of Strasburg, Virginia; sister, Harlene Pazoff of Portland, Oregon; two grandchildren, Stephanie Blevins (Kevin) of Floyd, Virginia and Craig Finkelstein of Hisparia, California and six great-grandchildren.

Matthew Marshall, Jim Knight, Jack Grim, Charles Dodson, Kevin Blevins, and Jordan Grim will be pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hall Leesburg for their loving care of Mrs. Lauro for over two years.
