Meet-and-Greet Set Sunday for Republican-Endorsed Front Royal Candidates
Front Royal voters can meet several candidates for mayor and Town Council at a candidate meet-and-greet on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the gazebo on Main Street in downtown Front Royal.

The event is being hosted by the Warren County Republican Committee and will feature candidates endorsed by the committee for the November election. Residents are invited to stop by, meet the candidates, ask questions, and enjoy a treat.
The committee’s endorsed candidates are Lori Athey Cockrell for mayor and Amber Poe Veitenthal, Josh Ingram and Bruce Rappaport for Town Council.
Cockrell currently serves as mayor after previously serving three years on Town Council. A longtime Warren County educator, she has said her involvement in town government grew from a desire to give back to the community and hear directly from residents about their concerns and priorities.
Veitenthal, a Front Royal/Warren County native, is a wife, mother, community activist, and local volunteer with a professional background in finance. Her stated interests include preserving Front Royal’s small-town character, economic development, strategic planning, and supporting a safe and prosperous community.
Ingram has lived in the Shenandoah Valley for approximately 20 years and moved to Front Royal in 2015. His community involvement has included volunteer work with museums, charitable groups, and nonprofit organizations. He also served on the Front Royal Planning Commission and participated in rewriting the town’s comprehensive plan.
Rappaport has a professional background in supply chain management and has deep family ties to Front Royal. His family operated a business on Main Street for more than 90 years before it closed in 2002. He has cited support for local businesses, community organizations, and civic involvement among his priorities.
The meet-and-greet is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at the gazebo on Main Street in downtown Front Royal. Front Royal voters are encouraged to stop by and speak directly with the candidates ahead of the November election.
