Mary Jane E. Halmo (1951 – 2024)

Mary Jane E. Halmo, 73, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Halmo was born August 23, 1951, in South Amboy, New Jersey, to the late James and Clara Floystrop.

Mrs Halmo was a loving mother and loyal wife, an outgoing socialite with a network of childhood friends, and a devoted Christian.

Surviving is her loving husband of 53 years, Rudolph J. Halmo; daughters Meridee Halmo, and Sarah Halmo (Jason Smith); sons Stephen Halmo (Bobbi LaCross-Halmo), Rudy Halmo (Jessica Halmo); brother Donald Floystrop; sisters in law Amelia Floystrop, and Roberta Reynolds-Halmo; grandchildren Tyler Halmo, Gavin Halmo, Benjamin Halmo, Troy Halmo, and Christian Smith; cousin Betty Jelonek (Joseph Jelonek); As well as many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly; four lifelong friends Shelley Wasilewski, Kathy Wolfe, Joanne Moretti, and Teri Hutts.

Mrs. Halmo is predeceased by brothers Thomas Floystrop, and James Floystrop; brother-in-law Richard Reynolds; as well as sisters-in-law Sonjia Floystrop and Fran Floystrop.
