Dare to Dream Grant Workshop to Support Women in Warren County
The Front Royal Women’s Resource Center (FRWRC) is hosting a Dare to Dream Workshop to guide women in Warren County through its enrichment grant program. The event, designed for those living or working in the county, will occur on Tuesday, October 29th at 6 p.m. in Room B of Samuels Public Library.
At the workshop, attendees will learn about the Dare to Dream Grant program, the application process, and how these grants can help support their personal and professional goals. The program offers grants of up to $1,000, which can be used for educational purposes, business development, or even community service initiatives. The funds are paid directly to schools or vendors, making it easier for recipients to pursue their dreams without financial strain.
For more information about the workshop or the program, visit the FRWRC website at www.FRWRC.org or contact the director, Liz Coffey, via email at wrc@frwrc.org or by phone at (540) 636-7007.
Empowering Women Through Opportunity
Established in 1999 by JoEllen McNeal, the Dare to Dream program has become a vital resource for local women. It offers financial assistance to pursue dreams that might otherwise feel out of reach. Women 18 years and older, whether seeking to further their education, expand their businesses, or pursue creative goals, are eligible for these life-changing grants.
Each fall, FRWRC calls for applications, and women from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The grants can be used for anything from purchasing a new computer for educational use to providing a service to the local community. Applications are evaluated based on the project’s merit, the applicant’s research and dedication, and their financial need.
A review committee carefully evaluates submissions once the application period closes on December 30, 2024. Finalists are interviewed, and the winners are announced during the organization’s Dare to Dream Breakfast in March, an event celebrating women’s success and perseverance in the area.
Since its founding, the Dare to Dream Grant has supported countless women in their journeys toward personal growth and professional success. Whether furthering education or launching a business, the program symbolizes hope for many. As the new application cycle begins, the FRWRC encourages women to take the leap and pursue their aspirations with the help of this grant.
How to Apply
The Dare to Dream Grant application period is open from October 15th to December 30th, 2024. Women interested in applying can visit the FRWRC website for the application form and additional details. The application process involves outlining the project’s goals, explaining how the funds will be used, and providing financial background.
Those who wish to attend the October 29th workshop are invited to the Samuels Public Library to learn more about how to take part in this empowering opportunity.
By providing these grants, the FRWRC hopes to continue making a positive impact in Warren County by helping women turn their dreams into achievable realities.
