Incident on Hill Street Results in Arrest and Ongoing Investigation

Published

on

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at approximately 5:02 p.m., units from the Front Royal Police Department and emergency medical services were dispatched to the 400 block of Hill Street in response to an unspecified medical emergency.

Upon their arrival, officers were directed by nearby residents to an individual requiring medical assistance. As officers attempted to enter the residence to render aid, they encountered a female individual who actively obstructed their access and refused to comply with their commands. The female, subsequently identified as Natalie Godin, was detained at the scene to facilitate the assessment by emergency personnel.

As a consequence of the incident, Natalie Godin was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement (§18.2-57(C))
  • Assault and Battery on a Firefighter (§18.2-57(C))

This case remains under active investigation in cooperation with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the Front Royal Police Department.

No further details are available at this time.

(A Release by FRPD)

This story will be updated as additional information becomes available.

Royal Examiner has inquired to the involved arresting agency if the release of additional information on the result of the search for an injured person in need of medical assistance at the involved address is complicated by the fact it may stem from a domestic violence situation involving either a minor child or other legal variables related to the degree of injuries sustained by the victim and concurrent pending charges.
