VIDEO: NAACP Banquet – Even if you fall down, you’re going to keep getting back up
The NAACP held their 60th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on September 23rd at the Holiday Inn in Front Royal.
The NAACP selected local media companies to receive their Community Service award. The Royal Examiner was included in this honor.
The keynote address was delivered by Glenda F. Hodges, PhD, JD, MDiv and Founder and CEO of Rise I Still, Inc. Still I Rise, Inc., located in Prince George’s County, Maryland, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit community based organization for women and teenage girls. Their mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where women and teenage girls have an opportunity to heal their hurts through faith-based outreach programs and support services designed to rehabilitate and empower.
