Betty Thompson Zombor (1946 – 2025)

Betty Thompson Zombor, 79, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.

A funeral will be held for Betty at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia, with Sammy Campbell officiating. Following the service, her burial will take place at Willis Chapel Cemetery. A visitation will take place one hour before the service.

Betty was born on January 11, 1946, in Huntly, Virginia, to the late Douglas Gordon Thompson Sr. and Virginia Williams Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dolores Thompson, and her brothers, Douglas Gordon Thompson Jr., and Lynn Thompson.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Miklos Zombor; her son, Jason Eric Zombor of Winchester; her sister, Doris Paoni, of Front Royal; her brother, James E. Thompson of Front Royal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
