Warren County Extension Office offering water testing Tuesday, July 10
FRONT ROYAL – For families who rely on a private water supply for drinking, cooking, and bathing, now is the time to think about a well-water checkup. Virginia Cooperative Extension is offering a testing clinic this week at the Warren County Community Center. The brief kick-off meeting, where participants can learn about water testing and pick up a sample kit will be Tuesday, July 10th at 6:00 p.m. Kits must be returned the next morning, July 11th from 7-10 a.m.
The follow-up meeting to learn about the community results and receive individual sample results will be on August 21st at 6 p.m. The cost for the analysis is $50 per sample, which includes testing for 14 potential contaminants, including iron, manganese, sulfate, hardness, sodium, copper, nitrate, arsenic, fluoride, pH, total dissolved solids, coliform bacteria, e.
