Parent disappointed over coverage of students’ vulgar photo

I completely understand that this is news but to continue to run these kids thru the mud is a little much. To run Mr. Smith’s picture with that caption under it was way to [sic] far. We know all these kids personally and all are great kids that yes made a huge mistake and are smart enough to know and understand what mistake they have made but to continue to bring awareness to this unfortunate incident by our own community paper to me is just a disappointment.

Mr. Smith and his staff are great administrators but in this instance Mr. Smith was at home being a dad not a principle,[sic] he was providing a safe place for the kids to hang out before the game and he was being a dad, not a principle,[sic] and certainly not a babysitter and had no idea of what was taking place.

It’s times like this if people would set[sic] back and think of what reaction you might have to an action would have been beneficial but unfortunately, the times we live in are all about social media and reporting the juiciest news.
