Applications are still being accepted for the Front Royal Women’s Resource Center’s (FRWRC) 2019 “Dare to Dream” grants, open to women in Warren County 18 and older. The deadline is January 18.

The grants are so named because this 20-year-old program has empowered women and girls in the county to move onward and upward to better their avocations and their lives. The “Dare to Dream” awards have so far totaled $105,000. Successful applicants have been enabled to start a business or a non-profit, buy a computer, purchase other business equipment, learn a new skill, return to school, almost anything to help make their dreams come true.

Applications are available at Samuel’s Public Library, the FRWRC office at 27 Cloud Street, Front Royal. Also via the website: http://frwrc.org or by calling or emailing the office at (540) 636-7007, wrc@frwrc.org

Up to nine women will be nominated and awards made at an annual ceremony in March. Some 148 women have received awards between $500 and $1,500 since 1999, three years following the founding of FRWRC, which is described generally as “a support network for women in the Warren County area through programs, information and education.”
