Virginia Department of Criminal Justice presents award to Detective Zachary King, Investigator Brad Pugh and Kelliann Harris of the Laurel Center

Detective Zachary King of the Front Royal Police Department, our own Investigator Brad Pugh of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Kelliann Harris of the Laurel Center.
Warren County, VA – On July 15th, 2019 the Multi-disciplinary Team of the Year award was presented by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice to Detective Zachary King of the Front Royal Police Department, our own Investigator Brad Pugh of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Kelliann Harris of the Laurel Center. The honored recipients recognized for their excellence and continued collaboration efforts to combat Sexual Violence within the community of Front Royal/Warren County area.
The award was presented at 3rd Annual Intersections of Violence: Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse Conference held in Hampton, Virginia. The Intersection of Violence conference brings together law enforcement, prosecutors, victim advocates, child advocates, and other allied professionals to highlight promising practices and emerging issues to effectively respond to domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse in our communities.
The Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) of the Year Award was one of two awards presented at the conference recognizing collaborations. It acknowledges individuals in varying professions and disciplines who work together to reach successful outcomes for victims and survivors of crime.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is proud to partner with these distinguished agencies and individuals for victim assistance and their education and intervention efforts.
