FRONT ROYAL — A Front Royal woman was arrested early Saturday morning (March 4) after Warren County deputies were flagged down by a citizen concerned about a female she had observed inside of a stopped vehicle at the Handy-Mart convenience store north of town.

Debra Buckmaster,46, appeared to be intoxicated and impaired, according to a Monday press release from Warren County Sheriff Daniel T. McEathron.   Deputies made contact with the female at 9886 Winchester Road, Front Royal.  Buckmaster reportedly showed signs of impairment and admitted to the deputies she had just used heroin.

Deputies requested a narcotic K-9 unit and received assistance from the Front Royal Police Department.  Upon receiving a positive alert for narcotics, deputies subsequently located approximately 13 grams of crack cocaine that was individually packaged inside Buckmaster’s coat pocket and purse.

The suspect was arrested and charged with public intoxication; intent to distribute/sell narcotics (Schedule I/II) and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Buckmaster was transported to the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail.

She is currently free on a $3,500 secured bond.
