Services announced for C-CAP’s Pat Younk

Pat Younk, aka ‘Mr. Pat’ to many whom he helped and who loved him.

Patrick William “Mr. Pat” Younk, 63, of Front Royal, VA, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 13, at 11 a.m. at Front Royal Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Dr. C. Thomas Rhyne and Rev. Rachel Crumley. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held at the church fellowship hall immediately following the burial.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.

Pat was born March 15, 1953 in Saginaw, MI, son of Patricia Warren Younk of Michigan and the late William Jacob Younk. Pat retired as a pipefitter from Steamfitters Union #602. He was a member of Riverton United Methodist Church and a former member of Front Royal Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 829 and Elks Lodge 2382 in Front Royal.  Pat was president of C-Cap in Front Royal and was the founder of the Fresh Start Project, non-profit organization to help those in need.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was a Detroit Lions fan.

Surviving along with his mother is his wife Ruth White Younk of Front Royal; his step-daughter Catie Noel and her children Cadence Noel, Charlize Noel, Caleesi Beauge and Jamison Beauge all of Linden, VA; one brother Greg Younk and wife Diane of Stanford, MI and their children Lisa, Chris and Chelsea.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fresh Start Project, 115 Luray Ave., Front Royal, VA 22630 or to C-Cap, 316 N. Royal Ave. Front Royal, VA 22630.
